Our experienced Medical Reception team answers your questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

How can I book an appointment and do you take walk-ins?

You can book appointments and manage your bookings using our online booking system AMS Connect (QR code below), by calling our clinic (08) 9785 6000, or visiting the clinic in person. We may accommodate walk-ins depending on availability, but it’s best to book ahead to secure your preferred time.

Can I request a specific doctor and what happens if my usual GP is unavailable?

If your preferred doctor is available, we’ll happily schedule you with them. If your usual GP is on leave,
or unavailable, we will offer an appointment with another member of our wonderful GP team.

How long are appointments?

Standard appointments are usually 10-15 minutes. Longer appointments are available for complex
issues—please let us know if you need extra time at time of booking and we can offer longer
appointment options to you.

Can I book a telehealth appointment?

Yes, telehealth and telephone appointments are available for eligible patients – with Medicare rebates
sometime being applicable. Please check with us to see if your consultation qualifies.

Do you bulk bill, if not, how much will my appointment cost?

Bulk billing may be available for standard consultations for eligible patients, such as children,
pensioners, and concession cardholders. Fees vary based on the type of appointment and whether you
are Medicare eligible, your age and your concession entitlements. More information is available on our
website www.healthhubeatonfair.com.au or by asking our Medical Reception team.

Can I get a repeat prescription, results, referrals etc. without seeing the doctor?

Appointments are required for repeat prescriptions, referrals, copies of results requests and medical
certificates. This allows the Doctor the necessary time to review your clinical record, verify the
information and discuss the treatment plan/content of the information being requested – this is Clinical
best practice to ensure appropriate care and patient communication.

Do you have onsite services (Pathology and Imaging)?

Clinipath visit and are onsite at The Health Hub 6 days a week (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm) and Saturdays 9am-
12pm). Patient enquiries can be made directly to Clinipath on 9371 4323. There are not imaging services
on-site at The Health Hub, however, there are local providers nearby that our GP team can refer to if
required.
