I am Dr Hookham and I love the community that I grew up in.

 

 

I attended Eaton Primary School and Australind Senior High School before moving to Perth to complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Western Australia. While I enjoyed my studies, I always preferred the sense of community that comes with a more ‘country’ lifestyle and was eager to return home. As soon as I could, I moved back to the Bunbury area to complete my Internship, Resident, and Registrar years at Bunbury Regional Hospital. It was during this time that I met my beautiful wife, Cahleen.

Together, we now have a wonderful family with four amazing children. Becoming a parent encouraged me to reflect on my long-term career goals, which led to my decision to pursue a career in General Practice—a choice I consider one of the best I’ve ever made. I love my job! Whether it’s treating an illness or simply being someone to talk to, I am passionate about helping people in any way I can.

Cahleen and I are both young and motivated, and we wanted to create something meaningful together—a business that could evolve and respond to the needs of our community. That vision led to the creation of The Health Hub at Eaton Fair. We are proud to offer affordable, high-quality care, innovative concepts, and a wide range of services to support your family’s health and wellness.
